Welcome to the Paranoid Posting License webserver. The PPL project was launched in August 2001 to protect rights of mail and usenet postings authors and to promote Free Software. The Paranoid Posting License allows you to share your ideas with others. It also protects your rights to your ideas - nobody is allowed to use any information included in your postig without making his work freely available so everyone - he (or she) will have to cover it by GNU GPL or Design Science License. If his work is also email or posting - he or she will have to cover it by PPL. What it means to our world? It's simple - if someone covers his bugreport with PPL, he (or she) will be sure that the patch will be published with the source code. It also means that big companies, like Microsoft or Borland, will have to publish all their patches with sources. If you want to use this license, remember to write the revision of license you want to use - 1.2 is a little bit different from 1.1. BTW: smarkacz(at)anathema.eu.org contributed a lot to the 1.2 version of PPL. Where to take this license from? The most updated version is always here, previous version will be available in our archive. If you want to contribute to this project, you can translate our homepage or the License to your native language. But remember that only english version is an official one.
